The chajja light. STAR was built for the hardest small job on an Indian façade — lighting the underside of a chajja three or four floors up, where the fitting is barely bigger than a coin and the monsoon arrives sideways. Seen from the street the narrow 30° beam breaks across the ledge and the fitting reads as a point of light with rays. That is where the name comes from.
The body is AL6063 aluminium extrusion, machined in-house and anodised. The gear compartment is fully potted in thermally conductive epoxy and the optic is sealed with RTV silicone — sealed for life rather than gasketed, because nothing at that height should ever need opening. GR Optics lens, Bridgelux LED array, Philips constant-current driver.
Two apertures, Ø46mm and Ø57mm, both 36mm deep — small enough to disappear into a soffit, a ledge, a porch ceiling or a lift-lobby transition, indoors or out.
