DALI-2 Constant Current Driver

A DALI-2 constant-current driver for luminaires ordered with DALI control built in — spotlights, downlights, linears and wall washers. DT6 dims. DT8 dims and tunes colour temperature. Made by AiDimming, a member of the DALI Alliance, and DALI-2 certified.

Mains goes in at 200–250Vac, 50/60Hz. Output current is set on the driver by a two-way DIP switch, four steps per band, and the driver is chosen by the wattage of the head it runs. DT6 covers 5–12W at 200/230/250/280mA, 15–20W at 350/400/450/500mA, 22–32W at 550/600/650/700mA, and 33–48W at 850/900/950/1000mA. DT8 covers the same first three bands, and 33–40W at 850/900/950/1000mA.

The terminals are named on the case: L and N for mains, a pair marked DA for the DALI line — either way round, DALI has no polarity — and LED+ and LED− to the module, with a common positive and separate warm and cool returns on a DT8. Conductors are 0.75–1.5mm², stripped 5–7mm.

Each driver is one short address on the DALI line. On a DT8 the colour temperature is carried on that same address, so a tunable head does not cost a second address. The driver holds its level through a power cut and comes back at it.

The published figures below are for the 12W and 20W drivers. Made to order, and samples are tested and approved by the automation contractor before the order is placed. The full datasheet for a specific band is available on request.
