DALI-2 DT8 Dimmable + Tunable

The DALI-2 driver for a CIANA 48V luminaire. It sits in the magnetic box on the back of the head, so nothing is added to the ceiling. Its input side takes both pairs straight off the track’s four contacts — 48V on one pair, DALI on the other — and its output side runs three leads to the LED board: a common LED+ with a warm return and a cool return. The driver mixes the two strings itself, so one short address carries the colour temperature as well as the level. The output current is set to suit the head before the luminaire leaves the factory.
A head up to 24W carries one of these. Above that the luminaire is built with two, one per LED board, so a longer linear is still one fitting but appears on the automation system as two addresses — which the controller can group so that they behave as one.
